This painting is of the "Sharknose" Ferrari 156 of Wolfgang von Trips in 1961..number 40.
I wanted to paint a scene with the beauty of the Sharknose and the colours and excitement
of the Monaco Grand Prix.

I researched many photos of the same day with the same meccanics in different photos.
I wanted to paint a original view point from all of my research and so this is my own composition.

I found this view of the Sharknose which depicts the beauty of the car.

My father saw Von Trips race at Monza later that year where sadly von Trips died
