Aryton Senna and Giles Villeneuve both won The Monaco Grand Prix both with the number 27.
Two super quick drivers who were the best of their times in Formula 1, and both super quick in the wet.. I feel they had so much in common.
Senna became world Champion 3 times only to die in a tragic accident while Villeneuve won 6 Grand Prix but was a sure future World Champion but he too died in a tragic accident.
They never had the chance to drive against each other so in this painting I have placed them together at Monaco in a image without sponsers logos etc in a almost "Here's looking at you kid"!
I added rain in yellow and red and white just to add another touch to the painting with a mystical blue to add to to the effect.

Two legends of the Number 27!
I wanted to paint the cars without the sponsors
as it gives more atmosphere to the painting.
Two drivers who died too young and who sadly never had the opportunity to race each other.
Both won at Monaco..both were quick in the wet, both drove number 27 and both were loved in similar ways.
Even though Villeneuve only won 6 Grand Prix he helped Jody Sheckter win the title for Ferrari.
Villeneuve was himself a world champion in the making...
