This a painting of Niki Lauda as he wins from pole the 1976 Monaco Grand Prix in the Ferrari 312T2.
Lauda won by 11 seconds over Jody Scheckter driving the six-wheeled Tyrrell P34, whilst Scheckter’s teammate,
Patrick Depailler, completed the podium in third.
Niki Lauda was the first World Champion I remember so I wanted to paint him in a Ferrari and this image of him at Monaco
shows him as I remember him ... Number 1 in a Ferrari.
